Blog update: Frequency and service

La Grange Road station with a rainbow overhead!

Hello commuters! It’s been a little while since I last audited a station, but in the meantime a lot has happened in my life. For one, I graduated high school and am excited for my next chapter at UIUC! I’ve stepped back from the blog for a little while since I had a lot on my plate, but I am now ready to get back into it! I’m very sorry for the long wait but my newest review of Downers Grove Main St. is now available for your reading enjoyment.

As summer shines and the heat kicks in, I have a lot more time to work on station reviews. I still plan to write them once weekly, and I may even have a certain series that will be more than once a week, but I will explain more when I get there. I’m super excited to get back into the swing of things as I have much more opportunities to explore Chicagoland in the next few months.

As for the more distant future, once college starts it will be very hard for me to fit in once weekly posts, especially given the difficult transition period I will have into it. By then I hope to have plenty of Chicagoland stations in my backlog to keep reviewing for a while longer, and of course there will be plenty of transit to review in Chambana itself! I plan to continue this for as long as I can, and when August comes around, I will transition to a bi-weekly schedule and may need to take longer gaps in between reviews. If I find time I will of course attempt to return to weekly posts, but they will be the exception and not the norm.

Lastly, I’d like to point out how I decide where to go and what I decide to review. Many people have been asking if and when I’ll do a review on the “L”, Chicago’s most iconic transit system. Do not fear! There will be plenty of “L” reviews to come, as well as bus services. However, I am based in the suburbs, and as a result am much more influenced by the Metra than anything else. So, if you’re wondering where your favorite service or station is, please be aware that I decide where to go and what to review based on what is most convenient to me first and foremost, so please have patience in seeing the content you want to see. Also, don’t forget that Stop Requests do actually influence where I plan on visiting, that’s still the best place to go if you’d like to see your service reviewed.

Thank you so much for reading this update, as a special treat for making it until the end of this post, I’ll give a sneak peek at the next station I will review. Let’s just say that this patriotic town is bursting with freedom and liberty 😉. Don’t forget to read the newest station review on Downers Grove Main St, and as always,

Thank you for riding with us!
